About us

Leeds Mind enables individuals with mental health problems to flourish

Leeds Mind is one of the longest established voluntary sector providers of mental health services in Leeds. We celebrate our 40th anniversary in 2012.

During four decades Leeds Mind has supported people with mental health problems, enabling them to reach their potential and be instrumental in their own recovery. As an inclusive, dynamic and creative organisation our provision is responsive to the changing needs and aspirations of our clients.

Our three key services are:

Employment – training and guidance to help people enter and stay in employment, education, or voluntary work

Housing – individual support with accommodation and independent living

Wellbeing – promoting social inclusion and community involvement through one to one support, group or self-help work

Our committed team of staff, volunteers and trustees work together to:

  • Work in partnership with others and develop in local communities
  • Retain and grow existing income and develop new income sources
  • Campaign for a positive mental health climate for everyone
  • Focus on the future, integrating the latest thinking into our services
  • Deliver high quality outcomes, determined by and centred on our clients
  • Build and maintain our reputation with all our stakeholders
  • Develop our staff, volunteers and trustees, enabling them to be the best they can be

With a central office in Horsforth and our employment service based in Kirkstall we provide services throughout the Leeds area. Our new arts centre Inkwell is on Potternewton Lane, Chapel Allerton.
